Vibe-a-thon is a technical problem-solving event where participants are given a problem statement and are expected to develop an effective solution using vibe coding—an intuitive and exploratory approach to coding. Instead of following rigid algorithms upfront, participants rely on understanding, experimentation, and rapid iteration to arrive at a working solution.

This event emphasizes logical thinking, adaptability, and coding flow under limited time. Vibe-a-thon challenges engineers to trust their instincts, translate ideas quickly into code, and refine solutions through continuous improvement, making it a true test of practical problem-solving skills.

To encourage participants to explore AI-assisted development, enhance problem-solving skills through real-time application, and promote effective prompt engineering as a core technical competency.

Events

Vibe-a-thon is a 3-hour hackathon where participants are given a problem statement and are required to develop a working solution using AI-assisted development. Teams must effectively leverage AI tools to ideate, design, and implement their solution within the given time frame.

A key component of the event is prompt engineering—participants are required to submit the prompts used during development along with their final solution. Evaluation will focus on problem understanding, quality of the solution, effective use of AI, and clarity and relevance of the submitted prompts. Vibe-a-thon challenges participants to showcase how intelligently they can collaborate with AI to solve real-world problems.
